Privacy

The short version

Punch keeps your shifts, tips, clients and invoices in your browser, on your device. There is no account and no Punch server that stores them. We cannot see your data, and we have nothing to sell.

What stays on your device

Everything you enter: jobs, pay rates, shifts, breaks, tips, mileage, expenses, clients, invoices and settings. It is saved in your browser's local storage on the phone or computer you use.

Invoice PDFs and CSV exports are created on your device. When you share one, it goes through your device's own share sheet to the app and person you choose.

Backups are files you save yourself. Where you keep them is up to you.

Location

When you punch in or out, Punch records your device's location with that shift so it can show whether you were on site. If you save a place for a job, that spot is kept too. Both stay on your device with the rest of your data.

Your browser asks before sharing your location, and you can turn location off at any time in More, under Preferences. Punch only reads your location at the moment you punch or save a place, never in the background.

What we receive

Punch is a set of web pages served by Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes basic request data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Cloudflare handles that data under its own privacy policy.

Punch sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking scripts. Fonts and icons are served from this site, not from third parties.

Offline copy

When you open the app, your browser keeps a copy of its files so it works offline. That copy contains the app, not your data.

Deleting your data

Clear this site's data in your browser settings, or uninstall the app from your home screen. Because nothing is stored on our side, that removes it completely. Save a backup first if you want to keep it.

Children

Punch is meant for working adults and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
